shelly bordas became a slave to the Theatre Group in 1995. When not appearing onstage (most recently in Cell Block Sirens of 1953 at Theatre On Broadway and Parallel Lives at the Phoenix) she can be found at Theatre On Broadway selling tickets and wine to patrons. She is proud of every Theatre Group production, and especially proud to be part of the family – still. Thanks to Steve and Nick for years of bliss.

leslie henson (Collette) After a long hiatus, Leslie is delighted to play on stage again. She was last seen (if you didn’t blink) in the HBO movie The Laramie Project. She received an MFA from the National Theater Conservatory. Favorite theater roles include: Harper in Angels in America; Roxanne in Cyrano de Bergerac; Ann in All My Sons; and Marvel Ann in Psycho Beach Party. Much love to Mr. Chuck.

karen lamoureaux (Brenda) is excited to be making her Theatre Group debut. She received her BFA in acting from NYU/Tisch. Recent metro area roles include Dot in Sunday in the Park with George (Nomad Theatre), Poopay in Communicating Doors (Aurora Fox), and an actor of quite a different sort in the independent film The Cricket Revival.

lamecia landrum has done tons of costumes for about 10 years, primarily for the Theatre Group, but she does occasionally wander off somewhere else. That might be due to age.

christopher leo (Director) is pleased to be making his Theatre Group debut. Directing credits: Pig (Best Direction — Back Stage West), Betrayal, The Common Pursuit, Noonday Demons, and Leonardo’s Last Supper. Acting credits (member AEA): Limping Man in Fuddy Meers (Curious Theatre Co.), Montfleury and the Capuchin Monk in Cyrano de Bergerac (Denver Center Theatre Co.), In the Heart of America (Best Supp. Actor — Denver Drama Critics Circle), American Buffalo (Best Actor — Westword Magazine, DDCC Best Actor nom.), and The Elephant Man (DDCC Best Actor nom.). He counts his beautiful and talented wife Kelly as the most profound inspiration in his life.

joseph miller (Bradley) has been performing in Colorado since 1989. Best known for his performance as the hit man in the award-winning dark comedy Faithful. Other notable shows include Nomad Theater’s Chapter Two, Private Eyes at the Aurora Fox and Marat Sade with City Stage Ensemble. This is Joe’s first show with Theatre Group, and is delighted to be working with this talented cast and crew.

steven neale has served as stage manager for the Theatre On Broadway for over four years for such shows as The Laramie Project, Cabaret, Never the Sinner, Whyde Awake, Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly, Corpus Christi, and Poor Super Man. Steven also is the designer of the Theatre Group’s programs and news-letters, as well as serving as Webmaster for the Theatre Group Web site. Thanks to Steve and Nick for the creative freedom, and all my great friends who have wandered into my life.

dustin poché interned under Lamecia Landrum during Cabaret and Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly. He has just recently graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado with a degree in fashion design and is excited to join the Theatre Group family with upcoming productions.

george pulver (Sound Design) feels privileged to do technical work for Theatre Group in this production, as well as for past productions, including: The Laramie Project, Cabaret, Never the Sinner, Whyde Awake, A Question of Mercy, Execution of Justice and Poor Super Man. Also, he recently appeared onstage in Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly, Party! and Howard Crabtree’s Whoop Dee Doo!

t marc stevens (Light Design) has designed lights for our recent productions of Twelfth Night, The Laramie Project, Cell Block Sirens of 1953, Snakebit, Cabaret, Never the Sinner, A Perfect Ganesh, and Burn This as well as almost 100 shows since his start in lighting up the college opera Merry Wives of Windsor. His work includes opera, theatre, dance, comedy and a stint lighting up Anne Murray in her “Spread Your Tiny Wings” tour.

nicholas sugar (Director) is the Resident Director for the Theatre Group. He recently directed Never the Sinner, Stupid Kids, Whyde Awake and A Question of Mercy as well as last season’s award–winning Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly, The Blue Room, and Shakespeare’s R&J. Other directing projects include Love! Valour! Compassion!, subUrbia, Psycho Beach Party, Whoop Dee Doo!, and Poor Super Man (Best of Westword, 1998–1999). Nicholas has been seen on stage in the critically acclaimed productions of Cabaret, Corpus Christi, The Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged), Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, and A Perfect Ganesh. He has worked as a teacher, director, and choreographer with numerous schools and theatres. Prior to his move to Denver, Nicholas was working in Hong Kong, Los Angeles and New York. Nicholas serves on the board of directors for The Colorado Theatre Guild.

steven tangedal (Director) started with Theatre Group in 1979, and has directed a wide variety of shows including the dramas Tracers, Burn This and Six Degrees of Separation; the musicals Cabaret, A…My Name is Alice, The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Closer Than Ever; the comedies Jeffrey, Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged) and Tony ’n Tina’s Wedding – and the recent hits The Laramie Project, Parallel Lives, Beautiful Thing, Emma’s Child and The Boys in the Band. Steve hold a Music Education Degree and serves as the Executive Director for the Theatre Group.

tDA design and production (Set Design) began their association with Theatre Group in January 2000, and have since designed and produced the sets for A Question of Mercy, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, Stupid Kids, Gertrude Stein and a Companion, Parallel Lives, Never the Sinner, Cabaret, Snakbit, and most recently Cell Block Sirens of 1953. Additionally, TDA has designed for the Shwayder/Wolf Theatre at the JCC and St. Mary’s Academy. Outside of the theatre, TDA provides consultation, design, production, and installation services for the special events industry. A special thanks to David Williams, Nick Sugar and Steve Tangedal.

tina anderson (Set Design and Construction) is co–owner and Director of Production for TDA Design and Production. She is excited to start her second year designing for the Theatre Group.

wendy foster (Set Design) is co–owner and Director of Marketing for TDA Design and Production. She holds a degree in Interior Design from North Dakota State University and is involved with the design and marketing of theatrical productions and special events. Outside the theatre and events, she is a abstract artist, working primarily in monotypes.

david williams (Assistant Director/Stage Manager) has stage–managed several shows at the Phoenix, including Food Chain, Blue Room, Gertrude Stein And a Companion, Parallel Lives, Snakebit and Twelfth Night, and house–managed 10 Naked Men. At Theatre On Broadway he stage–managed Porcelain, stage–handed A Question Of Mercy, house–managed Cell Block Sirens Of 1953, assistant–directed Stupid Kids, and seat–nazi’d Cabaret. David also produced The Last Session at the Shop for ActOut Theatre Company, where he served as Executive Producer.

chris wilson (Victor) This is Chris’ first appearance at the Phoenix Theatre. This native Oklahoman is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. Chris arrived in Denver two years ago, and has appeared in such productions as Henry V, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and Wit. Chris is very excited to be a part of this production, and would like to thank Christopher Leo and everyone at Theatre Group for their hard work, Pete and Micki Wilson for their support, and he hopes the gang at “GB” get to see this, especially you “Snowflake.”
