shelly bordas (Office Manger) became a slave to the Theatre Group in 1995. When not appearing onstage (most recently in Cell Block Sirens of 1953 at Theatre On Broadway and Parallel Lives at the Phoenix) she can be found at Theatre On Broadway selling tickets and wine to patrons. She is proud of every Theatre Group production, and especially proud to be part of the family – still. Thanks to Steve and Nick for years of bliss.

thomas borrillo is a recently returned Denver native. He studied at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and Circle in the Square’s (NYC) Professional Workshop. TV credits include several commercials and appearances on Cosby, Spin City and New York Undercover. Most recently Thomas appeared as Joey in The Homecoming at Germinal Stage and Jonathan in Snakebit at the Phoenix Theatre. Look for his upcoming one-man show The EGG of Tom in November.

donna debreceni & scott alan smith (Musical Composition) Donna and Scott, who have been friends since 1976, are no strangers to the audience at Theatre On Broadway having played in the “beautiful orchestra” for Cabaret (and looking forward to another great run in 2003). They’ve composed music together for film scores, commercials, and documentaries. Scott has two CD’s of his original music, and performs with his band, “Onsombley.” Donna has music directed three shows for Theatre On Broadway – Cabaret, Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly and Whyde Awake. Both have numerous theatre credits both locally and nationally. Happy to be collaborating again for The Laramie Project, their hope is that someday this crazy world we all live in will come to understand – “Live and let live.”

catherine di bella is a 1991 graduate of the University of Wyoming with a B.F.A. in acting and a minor in drinking. She was last seen in Cell Block Sirens of 1953 here at Theatre On Broadway. Other favorite roles include Mertueil in Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Maryann in The Kentucky Cycle, and Winifred in Scotland Road. Love to Dave and Jack – go Pokes!

lori duncan is pleased to be doing her second show with Theatre Group, most recently seen as Fritzie in the smash–hit Cabaret. Past credits include Cinderella in Into the Woods, Vixen in The Eight Reindeer Monologues, as well as touring the Orient performing for the military troops stationed overseas for the Department of Defense. As always, she thanks her sweet husband, Chris.

c.J. hoosier Some of his previous credits include: Geoffery in The Sisters Rosensweig with the MCTC, The Marquis in Quills with Promethean Theatre, Student 4 in Shakespeare’s R&J with the Theatre Group. Set Design for Bash: Latter Day Plays and Scheherezade with Promethean Theatre, and Sound Design for Here/after with the Bug Theatre. Many thanks to my mom for always coming home, hugging me, and telling me that she loves me.

moisés kaufman (Playwright) is the founder and Artistic Director of Tectonic Theater Project, a New York City based theater company. For Tectonic he wrote and directed Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde which ran for over 600 performances in New York. He also directed it in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, and London’s West End. The play has been produced in over 40 cities in the U.S. and in dozens of cities abroad. For Gross Indecency, Moisés won the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Play, the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off–Broadway Play, the Garland Award (Los Angeles) for Best Play, the Carbonell Award (Florida) for Best Play, the Bay Area Theater Critics Circle Award for Direction, the GLAAD Media Award for New York Theater, and the prestigious Joe A. Callaway Award for Direction given by his peers in the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. His most recent work, The Laramie Project, opened at The Denver Theater Center in March 2000, and moved to New York on May 18, 2000. Time magazine called The Laramie Project “one of the 10 best plays of 2000.” On November 2000, Mr. Kaufman took his company to Laramie, Wyoming to perform the play there. Other directing credits: Women in Beckett, In the Winter of Cities, The Nest, and Marlowe’s Eye. Moisés is a member of Thespis, the foremost experimental theater company in his native Venezuela. In June 1999 he was named Artist of the Year by Venezuela’s Casa del Artista, a national award voted on by artists from a wide variety of fields.

lamecia landrum has done tons of costumes for about 10 years, primarily for the Theatre Group, but she does occasionally wander off somewhere else. That might be due to age.

scott mclean A native Kansan, Scott is thrilled to be back in the Midwest after spending seven years in New York City. Favorite roles: Max in Bent; George in She Loves Me; Tony in The Boyfriend; and three fun, fantastic summers performing in 50s & 60s rock shows at HersheyPark in Hershey, PA – chocolate town USA.

lisa marie mumpton teaches privately for the Arvada Center, The Aurora Fox, South Suburban Recreation, Cultural Arts Department, the Mizel Arts Center at the Jewish Community Center, Windsor Gardens and Colorado Educational Theatre. Favorite roles include Cecily in Germinal Stage Denver’s Travesties, Prince in Cinders, Martha in The Children’s Hour, Mrs. Hapgood in Hapgood, Ms. Ivors in Hunger Artists’ The Dead, Maggie in Hunger Artists’ Dancing at Lughnasa, Jessica in The LIDA Project’s The Merchant of Auschwitz and Ma in Babe at the Arvada Center.

steven neale (Assistant Director/Stage Manager) has served as stage manager for the Theatre On Broadway for over four years for such shows as Cabaret, Never the Sinner, Whyde Awake, A Question of Mercy, Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly, Corpus Christi, and Poor Super Man. Steven also is the designer of the Theatre Group’s programs and newsletters, as well as serving as Webmaster for the Theatre Group Web site. Thanks to Steve and Nick for the creative freedom, and all my great friends who have wandered into my life.

dustin poché interned under Lamecia Landrum during Cabaret and Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly. He has just recently graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado with a degree in fashion design and is excited to join the Theatre Group family with upcoming productions.

kristine pound A graduate of AADA, Kristine toured nationally in a one-woman show and internationally with California Repertoire Theatre. In Denver, Kristine is known for her performances in A Shayna Maidel, Burn This, Death and the Maiden, and Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. East coast credits include In the Jungle of Cities at Cambridge’s prestigious ART. Film credits include The Still Point, Meet Joe Black, and Rich Girl.

george pulver feels privileged to do technical work for Theatre Group in this production, as well as for past productions, including: Cabaret, Snakebit, A Question of Mercy, Execution of Justice and Poor Super Man. Also, he recently appeared onstage in Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly, Party! and Howard Crabtree’s Whoop Dee Doo!

matt sheahan is making his first appearance at Theatre On Broadway. He recently appeared with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra as Gustav Mahler in Mahler on the Couch of Sigmund Freud. Matt has appeared in numerous television commercials in the Denver area. He lives in Parker with his wife, Carolyn, and step–children, Max and Chelsea.

t marc stevens has designed lights for our recent productions of Cell Block Sirens of 1953, Snakebit, Cabaret, Never the Sinner, A Perfect Ganesh, and Burn This as well as almost 100 shows since his start in lighting up the college opera Merry Wives of Windsor. His work includes opera, theatre, dance, comedy and a stint lighting up Anne Murray in her “Spread Your Tiny Wings” tour.

production manager (Production Manager) is the Resident Director for the Theatre Group. He recently directed Never the Sinner, Stupid Kids, Whyde Awake and A Question of Mercy as well as last season’s award–winning Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly, The Blue Room, and Shakespeare’s R&J. Other directing projects include Love! Valour! Compassion!, subUrbia, Psycho Beach Party, Whoop Dee Doo!, and Poor Super Man (Best of Westword, 1998–1999). Nicholas has been seen on stage in the critically acclaimed productions of Cabaret, Corpus Christi, The Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged), Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, and A Perfect Ganesh. He has worked as a teacher, director, and choreographer with numerous schools and theatres. Prior to his move to Denver, Nicholas was working in Hong Kong, Los Angeles and New York. Nicholas serves on the board of directors for The Colorado Theatre Guild.

steven tangedal (Director) started with Theatre Group in 1979, and has directed a wide variety of shows including the dramas Tracers, Burn This and Six Degrees of Separation; the musicals Cabaret, A... My Name is Alice, The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Closer Than Ever; the comedies Jeffrey, Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged) and Tony ’n Tina’s Wedding – and the recent hits Parallel Lives, Beautiful Thing, Emma’s Child and The Boys in the Band. Steve hold a Music Education Degree and serves as the Executive Director for the Theatre Group.

tDA design and production (Set Design) began their association with Theatre Group in January 2000, and have since designed and produced the sets for A Question of Mercy, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, Stupid Kids, Gertrude Stein and a Companion, Parallel Lives, Never the Sinner, Cabaret, Snakebit, and most recently Cell Block Sirens of 1953. Additionally, TDA has designed for the Shwayder/Wolf Theatre at the JCC and St. Mary’s Academy. Outside of the theatre, TDA provides consultation, design, production, and installation services for the special events industry. A special thanks to David Williams, Nick Sugar and Steve Tangedal.

tina anderson (Set Design and Construction) iis co–owner and Director of Production for TDA Design and Production. She is excited to start her second year designing for the Theatre Group.

wendy foster (Set Design) is co–owner and Director of Marketing for TDA Design and Production. She holds a degree in Interior Design from North Dakota State University and is involved with the design and marketing of theatrical productions and special events. Outside the theatre and events, she is an abstract artist, working primarily in monotypes.

tectonic theatre project (Playwrights) is a nonprofit theatre dedicated to exploring theatrical language and form, and was established in 1991. Its first production, Women in Beckett, was the collection of all of Samuel Beckett’s short plays for women performed by a cast aged 65–80. Tectonic dedicated two years to the development of Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, a play written and directed by Artistic Director Moisés Kaufman. The play caused a popular and critical sensation when it began in New York in the end of February, 1997. Gross Indecency transferred to Off–Broadway and ran there for over 18 months. Tectonic Theater Project’s development of The Laramie Project was made possible in part by the generous support of the Rockefeller Foundation, the Sullivan Foundation, the Sundance Theatre Lab, New York Theatre Workshop, the Fan Fox and Leslie R. Samuels Foundation, Leon Levy, Anne Milliken and Gayle Francis.

david williams has stage–managed several shows at the Phoenix, including Food Chain, Blue Room, Gertrude Stein And a Companion, Parallel Lives, and Snakebit, and house–managed 10 Naked Men. At Theatre On Broadway he stage–managed Porcelain, stage–handed A Question Of Mercy, house–managed Cell Block Sirens Of 1953, assistant–directed Stupid Kids, and seat–nazi’d Cabaret. David also produced The Last Session at the Shop for ActOut Theatre Company, where he served as Executive Producer.

jessica austgen (Andrew Aguecheek) comes to Twelfth Night from the Colorado Shakespeare Festival where she appeared as Lady Macduff/Gentlewoman in Macbeth and Phebe in As You Like It. Other regional credits include Lala Levy in The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Rosalie in The Children’s Hour and Jackie–O in The House of Yes. Jessica has her B.F.A. from CU Boulder and is SAFD certified in single sword combat. Much love to Mom, Reed and Mike.

jodi brinkman (Sebastian) is glad to be playing a man for the first time in her career, although whorish vixons with serious co–dependent issues seem to be her specialty. Jodi’s first Theatre Group show was last season’s smash–hit Cabaret in the part of Sally Bowles. She has enjoyed working at various theatres in the Denver area and is looking forward to hopefully continuing her theatrical career in New York City sometime next year.

donna debreceni is a native Coloradoan and has been playing for theatres, clubs, piano bars, and corporate events for... well, let’s just say, quite awhile! She has also composed for film and television in Los Angeles, performed and recorded for country artists in Nashville, and toured the country and Taiwan with West Side Story. She has performed and music–directed numerous times for the Town Hall Arts Center in Littleton, Shwayder Theatre in Denver, Magic Moments (an annual benefit production with and for people with special needs) and here at Theatre On Broadway for Howard Crabtree’s When Pigs Fly; Whyde Awake, which she music–directed, arranged, and recorded tracks for; and Cabaret. She would like to thank her husband, Todd, for his love and support, and her mom for making her practice.

hart derose (Valentine) is a native Denverite, and one of the two first graduates from the Denver School of Arts theatre program. She has been living and performing in New York for the past six years, where she studied acting at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and the New School University. She is thrilled that her recent return to Colorado has landed her in the company of such an amazingly talented cast and crew. She hopes to do many more shows with the Theatre Group.

elgin kelley (Feste) previously appeared in a limited run as Sarah in Stop Kiss at the Phoenix Theatre. Previously in Shakespeare: Ophelia in Hamlet. Also previously: Echo in Eleemosynary, Director – The Mystery of Irma Vep, Into It Gal in Right On, America!, and Laura in The Glass Menagerie. She thanks all her people for their support, love, and understanding. And Wilson, for the chance.

jennifer kiatta (Maria) is thrilled to be working on this unique production of Twelfth Night. She was last seen as Texas in Cabaret at Theatre On Broadway. Other Theatre Group credits include Parallel Lives and The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told. During the day Jenny has been doing children’s theater with Imagination Makers, and most recently at the Arvada Center. She would like to thank you for supporting the arts, and for coming to the show.

Christopher ... “him I love more than these eyes, more than my life.”

theresa reid (Malvolio) trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. Recent local stage credits include Cymbeline, Lunatics, Lovers and Poets, The Baltimore Waltz, An Experiment with an Air Pump, Sylvia, Speed–the–Plow, Jungle Bookm and A Christmas Carol. Credits abroad include performances at the Edinburgh Festival and radio drama for the BBC.

karen slack (Duke Orsino) received her training at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. She continued to explore her craft in theatre, film, and television throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Since returning to Colorado, the endless exploration continues. She has too many favorite roles to list and remains eternally grateful for the work. Thank you to my family, of blood and of friends, who continue to inspire and encourage.

jadelynn l. stahl (Olivia) is ecstatic to make her Denver debut with the incredible Theatre Group, and a cast of phenomenal women. She is a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Favorite performances include Jenny Diver in Three Penny Opera, ensemble in The Laramie Project, and Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Her performance in Twelfth Night is dedicated to all the teachers and mentors she has been fortunate enough to study from over the years, and those that are to come.

laura steele (Sir Toby Belch) is very excited to working with Theatre Group for the first time and is grateful for the opportunity to work with such an amazingly talented ensemble of actors. Thank you to all my friends and family for their support.

Directing credits include: Comedy of Errors and A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Bug Theatre; Sister’s Rosensweig for the Mizel Center Theatre Company; Once Upon A Mattress, Damn Yankees and Grand Hotel for PHAMALy (Physically Handicapped Amateur Musical Actors League); Oliver! for Town Hall Arts Center; and Cyrano for Compass Theatre Company. Currently Steve is the Artistic Director of the Mizel Center for Arts and Culture, the Director of the Wolf Theatre Academy and the high school theatre teacher and Performing Arts Chairman for St. Mary’s Academy. He is also the current President of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Theatre Guild.
